I mean, I’ve been to Ayala malls like Trinoma and Fairview Terraces which cater mostly to the middle or perhaps the upper class as well but brands that cost thousands which I’ve seen for the first time was just eyeful. Most of which I’ve seen only for the first time.

But when it was my first time at the Eastwood mall, I was actually dumbfounded since I wasn’t familiar with most of the stores I walk by. Although it differs somewhat from branch to branch, in general, there is a big similarity of brands the can be found there. Lastly, the brands that it carries or basically, the stores within it.įor comparison, I’ve been to SM Malls like SM Fairview, SM North, SM Mall of Asia and a lot more and I’ve seen what stores it has to offer to the public. Second, by its appearance, which I’ll be elaborating in a short while. I haven’t really explored the whole mall itself but since I’ve been at the three malls, I can safely assume it’s the biggest. How was I able to say so? First, by its size. Nestled at the heart of Eastwood City, Megaworld’s first salvo in building master-planned townships, Eastwood Mall is a shopping paradise that carries all the brands that matter – from the most popular signature and luxury brands to the top names in local fashion. You heard that right, 3 malls! All within reach through walking a couple of minutes depending from where you are.Įastwood Mall is a multi-level upscale mall that boasts a sleek and modern architecture, on top of world-class shopping, dining and leisure offerings. Now let’s proceed with the 3 malls within the vicinity. Not to mention an eat-all-you-can buffet is just beside their building! Buffet 101 near Olympic Heights They just have to walk a little, then cross the road, and there you have it ̶ Eastwood mall. Olympic Heights (where my grandparents live) is just a 3 to 5 minute walk away from the nearest mall. What makes this place unique of some sort is how these condominiums are juxtaposed in a manner that it is near at least one of their malls or other establishments for that matter. From my last visit recently this month, I saw an ongoing construction of another building. Given that I got this from a source way back 2009, there’s a possibility that this list has gotten even longer. Here’s a peek of the condominiums: Eastwood LeGrand TowerĪll are classy, right? Not the typical “condominium along the road” type. Towering condominiums are found across the place reflecting the kind of societal class that lives there. Like I’ve said earlier, this place was built for commercial, residential, and entertainment purposes. My rants aside, there are some reasons why I’d rather go to this so-called “city” than to a mall near from where I live and perhaps might convince you to come visit as well. Although cabs are everywhere inside the place, not everyone can afford this considering the traffic along Katipunan. How can a place described as something like “located at the heart of the metropolis” be inaccessible when it comes to the commuting public? I’m not just talking about going to the city itself but going out as well. Just for a point of reference, I live somewhere in Fairview, Quezon City and whenever I ask my mom or dad on how I can go there without a private car, they’ll tell me to just ride until Philcoa and grab a cab going to Eastwood.

Personally, I find it inaccessible or even cumbersome to some extent for those who wish to travel to Eastwood through public transportation (excluding the taxi cab of course).

Open to public since 1997, this 19 hectare complex is located at Libis, Quezon City and is home to some of the best commercial, residential, and entertainment establishments. Eastwood City is the first state-of-the-art integrated township built by Megaworld Corporation.
